Find & Follow Your Truth

find-your-truth-then-follow-your-path-blog

Four years ago, I began documenting my physical – and very much mental – dietary transformation.  I called it TRUTHOLOGY, because it described my personal quest to discover the optimal human diet.  Over the course of the last few years, I have come to find that there are multiple truths and the optimal human diet is subject to the individual. Last Man On Earth

In anticipation of the LAST MAN ON EARTH, a new TV show on FOX premiering March 1st, I have recently given thought as to what I would do if I were the last man living on earth. Continue reading

Dear Brain,

I want to take this opportunity to reach out and let you know what a profound impact you are having on our shared quality of life.

I feel like I’m being held personally responsible for what you put inside of me and, ultimately, I’m cleaning up your mess. It is unfair. I know what you are thinking….I do growl from time to time when I’m empty and hungry, but you really ought to use some discretion before sending things down here! Continue reading

2014 has been an extremely busy year thus far and I feel like I have been carrying around some extra weight. After hovering around 200 lbs for the past several months, I set a goal earlier this year to reach 190 by this Summer. I often wonder if chronic illnesses, such as cancer, diabetes, and heart disease, are man-made.  I know this is a bold thought, but it’s really hard for me to believe that we were created with the intention to suffer from disease.  Unfortunately, there is no way we will ever know the answer to this notion, as it is beyond the scope of recorded medical history.  At minimum, I believe there is enough current scientific evidence to suggest that the prevalence and increasing rate of chronic illness is attributable to mankind….that is, lifestyle and environmental conditions. What comes around goes around

I believe that there is a connection between doing the right thing and living a healthy life. As it pertains to eating, I believe that an association exists between making responsible food choices and being physically fit, preventing disease and living longer. I truly believe we have the power to manifest these things through the food choices we make. Continue reading
